We also had media coverage on all four local television stations and a nice article in the Savannah Morning News! Most importantly, my four-year-old son Fletcher and two-year-old daughter Lola Gray learned that as small as they are, they still have the power to make a difference. They are ready to set up that lemonade stand every weekend! ”

(Right) Trey Vardeman, 5 Allen TX Raised $186 for Allen Community Outreach “Trey's goal was to reach $120 during his 3 hours of lemonade sales. Claire is donating the money she has raised to The Gynecological Cancer Foundation (www.thegcf.org) toward Uterine Cancer Research. The GCF will allow us to specify the type of cancer we would like to support. Several more donations have been mailed to Claire, but on Saturday she raised $467. Thank you for this opportunity, the people that stopped were very supportive and several had just finished the breast cancer walk. This experience has taught my daughter a wonderful life lesson. “

This charity and cause means a lot to my daughter and myself because her uncle was diagnosed with MS five years ago. We chose to decorate this stand in the theme of the charity utilizing the orange color used in the MS Foundation’s website. We then added pink and yellow accent colors that were on the lemonade can. My daughter wanted to have an upbeat and happy stand because she is hopeful a cure will be found for MS, and her uncle.”

(Left) Natalie Gould, 9 Cincinnati OH Raised $522.36 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society “My daughter, Natalie Gould, designed her lemonade stand which she called "Lemonade for Lucy." Lucy is a local preschooler who was diagnosed with leukemia two days before Thanksgiving last year. Natalie decorated the stand with as much pink as possible, since that's Lucy's favorite color. She and her friend made matching shirts with puffy paint that said Lucy's Lemonade 4 Leukemia. Lucy came to the stand for a little while and I captured this shot with Natalie, her friend Brooke, and the guest of honor, Lucy. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful community event. Even if my daughter doesn't win one of the scooters, she came away from that day with a gift all its own, learning to do and give for others in need. What a terrific concept! We can't thank you enough for letting us be a part of this day.
